The School
The school was founded in February 1972 in Towanda, Pennsylvania, by Ron McLoughlin. The purpose of the school is to offer quality and humane training of horse and rider for amateurs and professionals at a reasonable cost. Over the years a training program for the classical stock seat,
which includes weekly lessons, workshops,
short courses and a full time resident program, have been put into operation.
Areas of focus are Reining, Western Riding, Barrels and Gymkhana, Cutting and
cow horse work.
The school also focuses on Riding Instructors and Trainers, and has the most intense and
quality minded certification program in the nation. Ron McLoughlin conducts a full schedule of
three day Horse Handling Clinics around the United States, (See Clinic Schedule). ,
which
addresses all styles of riding, but does focus on the Classical Stockhorse.
The School moved to Arizona in 1989, and is now located in Southeastern corner of the state, surrounded by the Chiricahua and Dragoon Mountains, by the town of Pearce.
