KIAZZIAH ALLEN

Ki was born in the horse business as her mom bred and sold Quarter Horses until Ki was a teenager. When she was 10 years old she saw a troop of trick riders at a state 4-H show and knew right then that trick riding was her first love.  With her mom's encouragement and support Ki learned to trick ride and, at the age of 11, was employed at a summer theme park. Later Ki expanded her talents and learned to roman ride (standing on the backs of 2 horses).  Trick riding and roman riding played a strong part in Ki's life as she performed in numerous rodeos, fairs, festivals, theme parks, dinner theaters and special events.

In 1993, while Ki was performing at a dinner theater in Tennessee, she met Amy Yarber who was sponsoring a Ron McLoughlin Clinic. Ki attended the clinic and was impressed with the knowledge Ron offered to the horse industry.  In 2000, after attending several other clinics, Ki decided to sponsor 2 clinics a year in Mississippi and Louisiana.

While residing in Delhi, Louisiana, Ki remains in the western arts entertainment business and directs several western theme shows each year.  In addition to providing riding instruction to 15 students, Ki maintains 6 lesson horses and 2 barrel racing horses.  She competes in barrel races every weekend and has qualified for the NBHA World Champion barrel race for the past 3 years.  Always excited about learning and sharing her knowledge with others, Ki constantly practices staying focused and improving her riding skills. Ki says you just have to do "whatever it takes" and "le bon ton roulette" (let the good times roll.)
