Jack Tone Ranch

Kathleen Tone Hammer and Marjory Hammer Pope are fourth and fifth generation family members to enjoy their lives at the Beautiful and Historic Jack Tone Ranch in Stockton, California.  The friendly, beautiful Arabian horses from Marjory Tone's breeding program based on her foundation sire FADJUR are part of the atmosphere enjoyed by all who come to the ranch, as well as the wonderful old horse barns .  The Jack Tone Ranch is the "oldest continuously horse breeding" farm in California, to remain in the same family.  The love of horses and horsemanship has been handed down through the generations.  We proudly display in our trophy room in the 1863 barn, a diploma won by Jack Tone in 1871 with his "Best One Year Stallion".

Learning from Ron McLoughlin's Horse Handling Schools held on the ranch, are some of our most enjoyable activities.  Sponsoring these clinics helps spread horsemanship throughout all riding disciplines, and continues our reputation for helping horses and humans enjoy each other.

The Arabian horse breeding program Marjory F. Tone started with FADJUR on Jack Tone Ranch has made the ranch world famous.  In every country around the world breeding Arabian horses, they know of FADJUR, and the beautiful, unique image he brings to mind.  As a result of her experience handling the Jack Tone Ranch Arabians, Kathleen Hammer has enjoyed traveling to many U.S. states and internationally to judge Arabian horses, as well as showing them to many championships.  Marjory F. Pope has also handled horses all her life and shown to many championships, including having trained and shown to Top Tens and National Champion in Dressage at the Arabian National Championship Show.

Kathleen and Jerry Hammer manage the Jack Tone Ranch for Marjory and Jack Tone, with the help and support of many family members and friends who make up the Jack Tone Ranch Families.  Indoor and outdoor arenas are available here. We look forward to learning with and from new friends met during our continuing education in horsemanship skills at Ron McLoughlin's clinics.
